Jason Lum Tuck Choi has dedicated over two decades to the education service, having served as a Physical Education educator, Subject Head, and Lead Teacher at Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary). Throughout his career, Jason has focused on strengthening teacher professional learning by translating research-informed pedagogies into practical classroom strategies. In recognition of his contributions to the fraternity and his commitment to professional excellence, Jason was conferred the Fellow of the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST) in 2023. In his professional work with PESTA and various cluster networks, Jason has been a key facilitator of professional learning, specifically in the areas of Inquiry-Based Learning, Assessment for Learning (AfL), and the purposeful integration of Educational Technology. By utilizing these tools in contexts such as softball batting lessons, he has empowered students to analyze their own techniques and take greater ownership of their learning.
