Academy Principal, Mr Tan Teck Hock and the Core Team for PESTA were appointed to set up the academy

PESTA conducted the Professional Learning Fiesta 2021, themed KaleidoscoPE
PESTA celebrated its 10th Anniversary
PESTA Time Capsule was commissioned by Academy Principal Ms Melanie Martens during the 10th Anniversary celebrations and to be opened on its 20th Anniversary.

January:
PESTA launched its Ground Up Teachers Sharing (GUTS) network in PESTA FB page for teachers to share and transfer their tacit knowledge to others.
March:
PESTA introduced Physical Education Knowledgeable Others (PEKO) to harness the strengths and expertise of the PE fraternity to enhance PD experiences in a more beneficial and sustainable way.
May:
PESTA launched its book titled "CPD for Teaching and Learning in PE: Global Lessons from Singapore" in collaboration with Dr Susan Capel and Dr Julia Lawrence.
June:
Visit by delegation led by German Minister for Education, Youth and Sports, Baden-Wurttemberg, Ms Theresa Schopper
July:
PESTA launched the Lesson Ideas for Everyone (LIFE) series in PESTA FB Page for officers to share on lesson ideas.

PESTA received the MOE Innergy Award (Commendation) for the project "Use of VR360 for Immersive Blended Learning PE Lessons"
2023
October:
PESTA received the MOE Innergy Award (Commendation) for the project on 'Enhancing the quality of lesson discussions by exploiting online affordances in VEO.
2024
May:
PESTA hosted the TL Symposium which was attended by about 200 personnel from the PE fraternity.
August:
Professional Learning Fiesta 2024, themed KaleidoscoPE 2.0 was held with over 211 presenters and 97 presentations.
2025
August:
PESTA and CHIJ Katong School received the MOE Innergy Award (Commendation) for their collaborative project- an innovative 360° immersive video solution to help students reduce their fear of heights and build confidence for Challenge Rope Courses using VR headsets, combined with effective adult and peer support.
September:
PESTA launched its SG60 book, For People and Country - Majulah, a commemorative collection of 60 stories from PE teachers aimed at inspiring the next generation through the power of narrative.
October:
PESTA launched its Team Talk podcast series, featuring conversations with sporting legends like the 1994 Singapore Football Dream Team to explore lessons in character development, team building, and sporting culture for schools.
2026
January:
A Professional Learning Calendar was created that showcases all professional learning courses within the year with quick-access links and key programme information.
